We are offering a Wilderness First Aid course March 5 - 7. This two and a half day course is a requirement for EPIC Trip Leaders and Raft Guides. The course is also functioning as a recertification course for current Wilderness First Responders. Wilderness Medicine Training Center (WMTC) is putting on the course and EPIC Adventures is the host. Though the course is open to all, we are specifically hoping that anyone interested in becoming an EPIC Trip Leader or Raft Guide will attend. It is a three-year, nationally recognized certification.
The course costs $165.00 ($225.00 for a WFR recert). If you received the early sign-up bonus you can use your EPIC Bucks. We also gladly accept Flex, cash, check, Visa or Mastercard. Your choice.
So come join us for a weekend of backcountry medical knowledge. Stop by the URC to sign up or call us for more info (509) 359-4014.

Blogging
Yeah, we're new to this blogging thing, but we're gonna attempt to use this site to give a more detailed picture of what we are up to.
Raft Guide Training is coming up. EPIC raft guides are paid as student employees to guide whitewater rivers throughout Washington, Idaho, Montana and Oregon. If you are interested in this type of experience, stop by EPIC and fill out an application.
The training takes place on the first 4 weekends of April (first four weekends of the Spring Quarter). We work around your class schedule, so there will be a couple of Thursday night sessions, then we hit the water Friday afternoons and stay out Saturday & Sunday. The training is specifically for EPIC Adventures whitewater rafting, but it meets the requirements to become a licensed guide in Washington. The training also acts as the bulk of the requirements to be a general trip leader for EPIC Adventures.
So if you are interested, stop by and apply. Also there will be a Wilderness First Aid course March 5-7 (also a requirement of EPIC trip leaders).
And if trip leading is not your thing, check out our calendar at epic.ewu.edu for information about our upcoming trips.
